The 13 days China Tibet tour is a pleasant journey full of discovery, cultural experience and sightseeing. Your discovery starts from the great cities Beijing and Xian with profound history and culture and extends to the mysterious Tibet plateau for the dramatic landscape and minority culture; stops one day at Chengdu for the universal-loved giant pandas. The last contrast ends at the sky-scrapers Shanghai.

Day
Arrive in Beijing. Your private guide and driver will meet and welcome you at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day free at leisure to acclimatize yourself to your climate and surroundings. 

In the morning, go to the Tiananmen Square, the world's largest city center square. Then go to the Forbidden City, located in the center of Beijing Municipality, was once the home of the 24 emperors and their households of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the ritual and political center of the Chinese government. Later, lead to Temple of Heaven, a complex of religious buildings, which was the site of the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest, now you can see the local Beijingers to do morning exercises here.

OPTIONAL NIGHT SHOW

  • Beijing Kung Fu Show: A rare chance to watch the real Shaolin Kung Fu. The performers are the best and have mastered the difficult moves. 
  • Beijing Opera Show: It is one of the most famous traditional Chinese opera. The artists wear heavy make-up and act out the legends and romance with their unique style of singing and dance.

China & Tibet tour with Temple of Heaven

Drive out of Beijing city center and get to Huanghuacheng Great Wall after about 2 hour’s drive. It is a wild section which located near a lake and a reservoir, so we also call it “Water Great Wall”. Unlike Badaling and even Mutianyu, this section is a non-crowded Great Wall with breathtaking views and it is a good section for hiking. Today, you will take a picnic lunch on the Great Wall.

In the old days, Beijing City is like a boxy bean curd or a chess board with each Hutong lying. This square layout not only influences Beijinger's way of living, but also affects their thoughts and actions. Starting from the Bell & Drum Tower Square, you will take a walk to Houhai Lake, which is the center of old Hutongs. A pedicab Hutong tour is prepared for you to have a closer experience. Try local food and local people's lifestyle in courtyard family restaurant. After lunch, take high speed train to Xi'an.The train from Beijing to Xian takes 4.5hrs - 5.5hrs with highest speed at 300kmh (186mph). Upon arrival, be met and transfer to hotel check in.

Hutong

In the morning, transfer to visit the famous Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, which is one of the highlight attractions in China. It is significant because the hundreds of detailed life-size models. In the afternoon, visit the Bell Tower, which locates in the central downtown and was built in 1384 during the early Ming Dynasty with a height of 36 meters and covers an area of 1,377 square meters. Later, pay a visit to Wild Goose Pagoda, first built in Tang Dynasty, which is for the storage of Buddhist scriptures taken from India by Monk Xuanzang.

  • Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show - A wonderful performance of the ancient music and dance. This is also a good way know more about the ancient Tang dynasty and some more history and art of that period.

Take a morning flight to Lhasa - the holy city of Tibet and a mysterious but spiritual heart of all Tibetan people. Be met and transferred to hotel. Free time for acclimatization.

3 highlights today: first, go to the Potala Palace, which is the greatest monumental structure in Tibet, Rises 170 meters high on Red Hill. Secondly, pay a visit to the Jokhang Temple. It is the spiritual center of Tibet with 1300 years' history. Thirdly, lead to the Barkhor Street -- the oldest street in Lhasa as well as the center of old Lhasa.

China and Tibet Tour with Potala Palace

Visit the Drepung Monastery, which is one of the "great three" Gelug university gompas (monasteries) of Tibet. In the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery. Located at the foot of Tatipu Hill in the northern suburb of Lhasa City, Sera Monastery is one of three famous monasteries in the city along with the Drepung Monastery and the Ganden Monastery. It is dedicated to the Gelugpa or Yellow Hat Sect, a branch of Tibetan Buddhism, founded by Tsong Khapa. You might have chance to view debating in this Monstary, which is a part of lamas' study. Lamas must participate in debates to further their comprehension and proceed to more advanced levels of study.

China & Tibet discovery tour

Take a morning flight to Chengdu, be met and transferred to hotel upon arrival. In the afternoon, take a keisure city tour to visit Wuhou Memorial Temple. The title "Wuhou" was granted to Zhuge Liang, a famous military strategist of the Three Kingdoms Period (220-80 A.D.). He was fictionalized in one of the classics of Chinese literature, The Tale of the Three Kingdoms.

After breakfast in hotel, you will be picked up from hotel and go to see lovely panda at Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Center. Pandas are most active in the morning, especially having their bamboo breakfast and play together after the meal. After lunch pay a visit to Renmin Park, a good place to experience local people’s life and entertainment. They enjoy their life every day by drinking tea, playing mahjong, dancing, singing in the sqare. If you are interested, our guide will tell you some basic rule of Mahjong. Afterwards, have a stroll at Jinli Ancient Street, where you will have chance to taste many local snacks, as you know, Chengdu is famous for Sichuan food.

China tour with panda and Tibet

Take morning flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, your private guide will be waiting for you in the airport arrival hall and help you to take a Maglev Train from the airport to the Longyang Station, where you will meet your driver and be transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

China and Tibet tour with the Bund

Today, you will take a guided city tour by walking and public transports like metro, traditional taxi and online car-hailing. Tour starts from Yu Garden, a typical garden featured with traditional architectural style of Yangtze Delta. The old quarters near the garden will show you the most original life style of Shanghai local people. Enjoy a dim sum lunch in local restaurant before transferring to Xintiandi and former French Concession. The district is composed of an area of reconstituted traditional mid-19th century shikumen ("stone gate") houses on narrow alleys, some adjoining houses which now serve as book stores, cafes and restaurants, and shopping malls. Continue to People's Park (Renmin Park) located at Renmin Square. The Marriage Interview Corner is the highlight of the park.It's a place for single men and ladies (in most cases their parents come for them) to looking for future wives or husbands by writing a note with personal information. Walk through Nanjing Road from Renmin Square, you will get to the Bund. Shanghai's famous waterfront to see new-erect modern skyscrapers and aged buildings of the colonial period. Take taxi back to hotel after the visit.

  • The Acrobatics Show at night- It is not to be missed in Shanghai. Acrobatics is one of the oldest performing arts in China. Here you will see the amazing feats of balance and skill.

    good morning, we are interested in your China Tibet Discovery tour. we are 4 adults and we need 2 double rooms. we would like to plan our arrival during the month of Otcober but we don t know the exact date now. I would like to know price of your tour, stating if there are activities in the program not included in price, if it can be organized for us only and in this case if we can : have dinner instead of lunch when included add a dinner with traditional dances and songs waiting for your answer best regards

    Hello! Is the tour wheelchair friendly? One guest would be in a wheelchair and cannot walk at all. But he is in a non-motorized wheelchair (manual) and can transfer himself to his bed and other chairs.

    I would love to take this tour however I am flying into japan sept 20th and not sure how I can get a visa within that time perioed.. Unless i could apply in Japan? I wpuld plan on coming to China around September 30th, or perhaps a little later depending on the visa and if it is possible to get while oversees. Is there any way to get a visa upon arrival to China?
